I am a taxonomist and paleontologist with a major interest in nomenclature. I have described 8 species a genus and a subgenus. Many of my publications are also on nomenclatural issues and been directly responsible for the current nomenclature of around 50 species of turtles.

Currently I am based in Brazil (Sâo Paulo) at the Museu de Zoologia da USP where I coninue my research work on the turtle family Chelidae. If anyone wants access to my personal pdf library on dropbox I am happy to share it, be warned you will need the pro version its 7gb.

I am a Bureaucrat and CheckUser on Wikispecies my userpage is (https://species.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Faendalimas) feel free to ask me if you want help with Wikispecies information for this site. Wikispecies specialises in nomenclature of life.

As a specialist nomenclatural taxonomist I also have a personal Blog here on Reptile Names: https://reptilenames.wordpress.com/ and yes I am notoriously bad at keeping up with it.

I spend about 3 months of every year in Florida, USA, where I am the Curator of the Chelonian Research Institute. Peter C. H. Pritchard's museum and turtle collection. This collection houses over 18000 specimens representing 95% of all turtle species. It is one of the largest and the most diverse turtle collections in the world.
