I live at Glinks Gully, in the middle of the longest stretch of unbroken coastline in New Zealand. After COVID curtailed my travel for work and put me into semi-retirement, and at the suggestion of a friend, I decided to start using iNaturalist to try to document the life on the coastline here. I've had some fantastic help from people on iNat in doing this (thank you to you all for your support and patience with my identification attempts). And even though I've been coming to this coastline all of my life, I continue to find things I've never seen before (or certainly never noticed). It makes my beach walks much more interesting - as has joining some of the projects, particularly GO-SEA. it's great to be part of these wonderful citizen science projects. I hope to keep making discoveries (well, they are discoveries for me).
