Well, hello there! I'm a native of the Sonoran Desert, and became hooked on birding when I took an Ornithology course in college while pursuing my degree in Ecology at the University of Arizona-Tucson 25 years ago. Since then, I've worked as a field biologist, naturalist, wilderness guide, and environmental educator throughout the Southwest. I currently live in Albuquerque, where I'm a volunteer for the Central NM Audubon Society and sit on the Board of Directors as the Field Trip Chairperson. I'm also an avid eBirder, active BirdingPal and a local birding guide with BRANT (Birding Research and Nature Tours). My favorite book is "What the Robin Knows" by Jon Young, because Bird Language has deepened my awareness and connection to the natural world.
