I spend nearly all of my free time photographing and studying birds. I am an undergraduate student at Michigan State University studying Wildlife Biology and Management. Currently, I am researching the presence and effects of ingesting trace elements in migrating and resident waterfowl species. I've presented research on Crossbill vagrancy due to varying seed production in boreal forests and have worked on a project for the University of North Dakota under a PhD student as a technician looking at high-intensity short-duration cattle grazing and how it is effecting upland nesting songbirds, ducks, and grouse. While in ND, I am studying Clay-Colored Sparrows and Blue-winged Teal's varying nest site selection based on seasonal precipitation. My time as a photographer has lead me to shoot for Ducks Unlimited and a few other agencies. I am the owner of The Wild Look Photography and all of my images can be viewed at www.thewildlookphotography.com.
