I am a recently retired Fisheries biologist who used to manage lands to improve native terrestrial and aquatic habitat for fish, wildlife and water quality. I now have lots more time to enjoy all things natural and wherever I go I spend time learning the local plants, trees, birds, reptiles, amphibians, dragonflies, fish, snails, crabs, animals and anything else I can see or take a picture of. I have a fondness for non-game fishes, submersed aquatic plants, dragonflies, bumblebees, native flowers, jays, shorebirds, woodpeckers and any type of ground squirrel/squirrels.
