I am a Bio-Geographer (major in ecological land classification) trained in the west. Now live on Cape Breton Island and learning a lot of new species.
I avidly hike various areas on the Island and volunteer with the Nature Conservancy of Canada monitoring the MacFarlane Woods Nature Preserver south of Mabou.
I retired from Parks Canada (Prince Albert National Park) almost 6 years ago (turning 71 this year) and am still very active in the outdoors. I still actively use ArcGIS 10 at home and make my own maps for use in exploring our wonderful country.
