Description

Have you seen this on Sophora?

Not very pretty is it? This is the South American Sophora cassioides and something has killed a lot of them. Adjacent plants of S. godleyi and longicarinata are healthy. The photo shows insect galls, but there is also significant fungal die-back, and the causal agent might be neither fungus nor insect (might be a phytoplasma etc).

Me and Peter Heenan would like to know if anybody has seen anything similar on Sophora? If so then take a snap and post on Naturewatch please.
