Description

Locally common in a small area of sandy beach. Plants growing just about high tide mark along strand line. Large specimens up to 1 m across and these often forming a small dune due to sand that has accumulated around them. Sparse associated include Salsola kali and Cakile maritima. Atriplex flowering and setting fruit at time of visit. This population largely maintained through deliberate planting of seed collected each year from this site, grown on and then planted out.
