One plant. Growing on small andesitic dyke up thrust through surrounding Waitemata Group Turbidite cliff. Associated with Ulex europaeus, Aloe maculata, Yucca sp., Astelia banksii. This species, once so common in this area is now rather scarce I assume because of possum browse and weeds invading its coastal cliff habitats.
