Banding codes
I see Jon has created a Bands observed field, so I have added that as an option when adding observations to this project.
You can go back and add that field to observations already added to the project. No strict format, but for birds generally note colours and metal bands, left leg first, in a format like "metal/yellow, red/white/dark green"

have just added bands to some of my obs - do you want to take a look to make sure I've got them right. If you click on bands observed (above) they;re the first four on the list.
Looks good to me, different banding operations appear to name similar colours differently, eg:

I've just added a second field to the project, "Bands observed on second animal", to deal with instances where there's a second banded animal in the same photo. I'd prefer observations to be copied with one banded individual per observation but that's not an option when it's someone else's observation that I'm tagging.
