Observations of the Week (24.04.2022 - 30.04.2022)

Hello everyone! This is the tenth "Observations of the Week" post of the Biodiversity of South India Project!

Observations of the week (01.05.2022 - 07.05.2022)

Hello everyone! This is the eleventh "Observations of the Week" post of the Biodiversity of South India Project!

  1. A beautiful Banded Royal (Rachana jalindra)from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala by @tarunyumnam.
    With 4 votes, this observation has ranked first place!

  2. An endemic Malabar Torrent Dart (Euphaea fraseri) from Udupi, Karnataka by @jithesh.
    Also an iNaturalist Observation of the Day, this observation received 3 votes!

  3. A Reddyanus brachycentrus from Udupi, Karnataka by @jithesh.
    Also the second observation of the species on iNaturalist, this observation got 2 votes (that would be including me)!

Observations of the week (15.05.2022 - 21.05.2022)

Hello everyone! This is the thirteenth "Observations of the Week" post of the Biodiversity of South India Project!
This week, we have two ties! Also, the observations are mostly from Karnataka and mostly of spiders. Here they are in order:

  1. A near-threatened Karwar Burrowing Spider (Thrigmopoeus truculentus) from Udupi, Karnataka by @jithesh, who is also a group member.
    This observation received 2 votes (@jithesh voted for the Smodicinus sp.) from our members!

  2. A Eustenogaster sp. from Karkala, Karnataka by @jithesh, again. :D
    This observation, which is the first one for this genus in India on iNat, received 2 votes as well!

  3. A pair of rare Smodicinus sp. from Belagavi, Karnataka by @shashikanthbkambannavar.
    This observation received 1 vote!

  4. An undescribed spider from the subfamily Spartaeinae from Ranipet, Tamil Nadu by @samrudhnandagopal, a group member.
    The third record of this spider known, this observation received 1 vote (not from him)!

Observations of the week (22.05.2022 - 29.05.2022)

Hello everyone! This is the fourteenth "Observations of the Week" post of the Biodiversity of South India Project!

  1. A Pyraloidea sp. from Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala by @pranavchandrabose, who is also a group member.
    This observation received 5 votes (@pranavchandrabose voted for the Boiga flavivirdis) from our members!

  2. A mating pair of White Lynx Spiders (Oxyopes shweta) from Mysore, Karnataka by @vijayalakshmi
    This observation received 3 votes!

  3. A Yellow-green Cat Snake (Boiga flavivirdis) from Tamil Nadu by @saravanaraja_vicky.
    This happens to be the first observation of the species in Tamil Nadu on iNat. This observation received 1 vote!
