SAND-TO-SNOW NATURE HUNT THIS WEEKEND.

It’s been five years since the Sand-to-Snow National Monument was created, and the powers-that-be will celebrate the occasion with a free public nature hunt. Hosted by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Forest Service, the event will begin at noon on Friday, February 12 and go through Sunday, February 14.

All ages are welcome to participate using the free smartphone app iNaturalist to identify species of plants and animals along designated Monument trails. The public’s gathered data will be used by BLM and the Forest Service to better grasp the various species within the Monument.
