Status update! | Mise à jour

Hi everyone! With one day left to go, we are looking pretty good! We still need more species if we want to beat out Halifax and Calgary! Remember to follow our local Health Authority recommendations while we add to our observations!

Let's get some observations! Be sure to upload them all before midnight tonight! We have an extra week for identifications, so share even if you don't know what it is! |

I am doing my best but uploading before midnight tonight is extremely difficult. Can we not have a few extra days to download and process photos?

I agree - if the observation was made before midnight tonight and that is specified, we should be allowed to upload a day late. It takes a full hour for me to do a focus-stack of a small insect and I've got a Berlese funnel still going for soil critters.

@johnsankey That sounds great! We have April 28-May 3 to finish our uploads and identifications!

Dang, we can't let Halifax beat us, and especially not Calgary! ;)

Thank you!

We can do this! Ottawa will be the reigning naturalist champ!

Grrrr! Opened the door this morning: the first tachnid, first native bee and first Vespidae of the season even before I got the door shut behind me, and I can't count them.

@johnsankey That is always the way! You can still add them to iNaturalist and they will go into our 'all-the-time' NCR project

We are still in 3rd place for observations and total species, so hopefully this week we can move ahead a few spots!
