A Field Guide to the Native Trees of Manitoba
( https://www.gov.mb.ca/sd/forestry/pdf/health/fieldguidefinal.pdf ) is frequently used to introduce people to tree identification in Manitoba.

This project allows people to see these species in a wider variety of situations and seasons. They may upload their own observations and get confirmation from the iNaturalist community that they have successfully identified the tree they observed.

The guide provides keys and descriptions for the following native tree species.
