Help us learn about kererū on Te Pataka o Rakaihautū/Banks Peninsula!
Kaupapa Kererū is an iwi-led local project dedicated to increasing kererū numbers on the Peninsula. Every two years, we organise a community count aimed at understanding where on the Peninsula kererū are found (and, as importantly, where they’re
not found!) and how their population is changing over time. We also welcome observations of kererū from the Banks Peninsula/Port Hills area throughout the year.
If you would like to view and use the standard community count survey method outside of organised count periods, please see the Kaupapa Kererū webpage for instructions, or download a survey form by clicking here. Even if you decide to enter your data online via NatureWatch, you may still want to use a survey form to make sure you record the right information. less ↑
