Status as of 12/11/2023

As of today, the Orlando Wetlands project on iNaturalist has:
20672 observations (up from 13,902 observations a year ago);
1463 species (up from 1291 species observed a year ago);
517 observers (up from 357 observers a year ago);
2309 identifiers (compared with 1777 identifiers a year ago).
The most observed taxa are:
insects (528 spp. compared to 437 spp. a year ago) with Eastern Pondhawk leading with 107 observations.
plants (493 spp. compared to 446 spp. a year ago), with Pickerelweed leading with 75 observations.
birds (182 spp. compared to 177 spp. a year ago), with Great Blue Heron leading with 537 observations.
The most observed of all species in the project is the American Alligator (883 observations up from 544 observations a year ago).

June 28, 2023 Project Status

As of June 28, 2023, the project has 19105 observations of 1414 species observed by 479 people and identified by 2150 people.
The most observed taxa are:

insects (499 spp.) with Eastern Pondhawk being the most observed insect (91 obs.)
plants (484 spp.), with Cabbage Palm being the most observed plant (70 obs.)
birds (182 spp.) with Great Blue Heron being the most observed bird (493 obs.).
The most observed of all species in the project is the American Alligator (816 observations). - MK

Stats from 12/12/2022

As of 12/12/2022, the OWP project on iNaturalist has 13,902 observations of 1291 species observed by 357 people and identified by 1777 people. The most observed taxa were:
plants (446 spp.), with Cabbage Palm most frequently observed plant (58 obs.)
insects (437 spp.) with Eastern Pondhawk most frequently observed (71 obs.)
birds (177 spp.) with Anhinga most frequently observed (364 obs)
The most observed of all species in the project was the American Alligator (544 observations).

April 2, 2022 status

As of April 2, 2022, the Orlando Wetlands Park project shows 10,326 observations of 1115 species with 1510 identifiers and 297 observers https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/orlando-wetlands-park?tab=species . The top species is American Alligator (435 observations), top bird is Anhinga (294 observations), top invertebrate is Black Swallowtail (44 observations), top plant is Smooth Beggarticks (Bidens laevis with 42 observations).
