Statistics

Hello everyone. If you log in to iNaturalist on your PC or laptop you can view all the statistics and it is laid out in an easy to follow manner.

So, I thought I would give you all a bit of a statistic update. As of today (21/07/20) between all the contributors we have submitted 564 observations and have 255 identified species. 319 are currently awaiting ID - some of these will be repeat sightings but there will be some additional species amongst that large number
The most common observations were:

  1. Common spotted orchid
  2. Robin
  3. Common selfheal

Of all observations:
53% were plants
27% were insects
10% were birds
10% others (arachnids molluscs)

So, come on everyone we need more bird sightings. We know there are more out there but they are not so easy to photograph as they have this strange habit of flying off when you get near them!

Also, we haven't got any reptile sightings. We might not have any on the sites but it would be lovely to see one.

magicoak2020 has gone berserk and uploaded a whopping 243 observations. Well done magicoak2020 keep it up.

Seriously though, it doesn't matter how many or how few you put on every record counts! I can download the results in bulk at the end of each month so you can't put too many on either!

Finally please feel free to add any comments (not sure how you do it yet but I'll try and find out).
