As a way of both trying to become more familiar with ferns of New Zealand and a way of developing an understanding of what is growing in Polhill in one particular taxa (ferns) to help build a picture of the ecology of this highly modified, novel ecosystem I have set up this project to capture the fern life of Polhill and see if we can find any surprises.
