Frontera/Border

ENGLISH
Mexico and the United States of America share a great diversity of species across the border between the two countries. The diversity of natural habitats in this border varied, as there are rivers, deserts, mountains and seas shared.
This wealth is best known in the United States of America, but in Mexico there is a great deficiency of information.
Some of the key factors are the limited research budget, the remoteness from cities and lack of people interested in the knowledge of nature. But undoubtedly the most important factor is the prescence of organized crime: drug trafficking, human trafficking and kidnappings have caused a huge insecurity in recent years.
However, there are still relatively safe places where you can see and study nature. It is then the task of Mexican naturalists (of any nationality) to contribute to the knowledge of the flora and fauna on this side of the border.
