Briefly:
.1. Take a full body photo, in as high resolution as possible, both top and underside. The number of leg pairs is important, even at family and genus level.
.2. Close-up of the head: the arrangement of papillae on the top of the head is important.
.3. A bottom view of glands on the legs is useful
.4. A bottom view of the last two pairs of legs showing the gonopore (sexual pores) is also useful
.5. A photo of the habitat or microhabitat.
.* As notes, record the number found, and any escape movements made (coiling, spiraling, freezing), and microhabitat notes.

Q? Are there any undescribed species or new species on iNaturalist?
A. Yes. You can see them here (note some may have been described since - look at the ID: if it is to genus it is still undescribed, but if it does have a species ID then it is since described).
