@tonyrebelo, when curating away from POWO can you first please flag the input taxon in question and propose the deviation and then if its not controversial make a deviation linking to that flag. Here we have a dangling 'match' on a now inactive Silene bellidioides and no deviation on Silene undulata undulata to signal curators like me not create another Silene bellidioides http://www.plantsoftheworldonline.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:156917-1
thanks!

I went ahead and made a deviation here https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_framework_relationships/251456 but if you can provide some details on why this deviation that would be great

Oh: Raphael has told me that the changes will be made to POWO the moment their lockdown is lifted (1 July at present) - so who will remember to undeviate it then?
It is essential that we have a system that tells "deviators" when their deviations are not needed because POWO is aligned.
But who warns whom when a taxon suddenly deviates because of changes in POWO?

Bothalia 42,2: 147–186 (2012) A taxonomic revision of the southern African native and naturalized species of Silene L. (Caryophyllaceae) J.C. MAnnIng* and P. gOLDBLATT
ABSTRACT The native and naturalized species of Silene L. in southern Africa are reviewed, with full synonomy and the description of two new species from the West Coast of Western Cape. Eight native species and three naturalized species are recognized, including the first identification in southern Africa of the Mediterranean S.nocturna L.The identity of S.aethiopica Burm., which has remained unknown since its description, is established and is found to be the oldest name for S.clandestina Jacq. Patterns of morphological variation within each species are discussed and subspecies are recognized for geographically seg-regated groups of populations that are ± morphologically diagnosable. The following new names or combinations are made among the southern African taxa: S. aethiopica subsp. longiflora; S. burchellii subsp. modesta, subsp. multiflora, and subsp. pilosellifolia; S. crassifolia subsp. primuliflora;S. saldanhensis; S. rigens; and S. undulata subsp. polyantha. Each taxon is described, with information on ecology and distribution, and most species are illustrated, including SEM micrographs of the seeds

This also sees the demise of Silene primuliflora & S. thunberghii & S. bellidiformis
If there is a reason why this paper is rejected, please tell me.
