I've always enjoyed the outdoors, be it tramping in my teens/young adult, or sailing offshore. I've now got 2 kids both in Scouts, so I'm finding more opportunity and need to know what's what with trees and birds. That combined with getting back into tramping again, I figure taking part in Nature Watch is a nice way to contribute and to learn more about what I see around me.
