I am a retired professor of genetics, cellular and molecular biology from Rutgers University. My wife (Professor Diana Martin) and I are co-authors of a 1st year biology textbook (Biology, 11e - Solomon, Martin, Martin, and Berg) that covers the subject range from biochemistry to environmental biology. I am currently interested in conservation biology, the effects of environmental changes on species diversity and population genetics; the spread of invasive species, and species interactions within biological communities.
