I thought this looked like a worn auger (Terebridae) but find no species north of Pt Conception. Is this just a worn, large Batillaria @susanhewitt, @pliffgrieff?

Description
This 3/4" Chlamys hastata (Spiny Pink Scallop) was squirming and leaping about in a shallow tide pool. The second photo shows the scallop underwater.
