Heterocrossa contactella (Walker, 1866). F.L. 6.5 mm. Endemic.

Habitat, seasonality and behaviour 4

Adults are found from October until February in native forest, however this species prefers light forest and scrub habitat, especially where Leptospermum shrubs are found They fly at night and come to light.

Life history 4

Larvae feed on fruits and seeds of trees and shrubs.
