Leptochiton finlayi

Description 1

Small chiton, 6 to 8.5mm long, 3 to 4mm wide. Plates are pale pink with a green tinge to pale brown. The usual radial and front to back parallel ridges are made up of closely packed beads which become short spines along the rear edge.

Distribution 1

Found from 20 to 100m. Otago Heads , Stewart Island.
