Distinguishing Characteristics
An endemic limpet of New Zealand. Evenly developed radial ribs especially at the front, the apex is towards the back of the shell.
Shells are often quite worn if found on a beach. The spatula (middle part of the inside) is often darker than the rest of the shell.

Size
Can grow up to Length 19mm, Width 15mm, Height 5mm

Distribution
Found in the high tide zone on exposed rocks throughout the North Island and upper South Island

Can be confused with:
Patelloida corticata but the evenly developed radial ribs at the front help to distinguish it from P.corticata
