Stenoptilia zophodactylus (Duponchel, 1838). Adventive. Common.

Adults are found from October to March in native forest. They fly both by day and at night when they are attracted to light.

Life history 6

Larvae feed in flowers and fruits of herbs. Foodplants include: Brachyglottis lagopus (Raoul) B.Nord., Compositae (Daisy family), Centaurium erythraea Rafn, Gentianaceae (Gentian family), Gentianella saxosa (G.Forst.) Holub, Gentianaceae (Gentian family).
