Acianthera tokachii

Location 2

This species is only known from the type specimen, found in 1993 near Pomacochas in Bongara, Amazonas,Peru. The specimen was collected from an area well-surveyed for Orchidaceae, which could mean that it represents just one population, since no others have been found.

Description 2

Synonym: Pleurothallis tokachii

Epiphytic.

Habitat Type 2

The ecoregion in which the specimen was found is the Peruvian Yungas subtropical forest. At the elevations at which it is likely to be found, the natural vegetation is mostly dense cloud forest.
