Loreto province, near maynas, pebas and Brilla Nueva
Colombia, Amazonas, Peru.

Description ²

Has long thin peduncles terminated by vert small pollen cones. Long acuminate leaflets. Dark purple to black petiole and rachis is only present in Z.m species.
Z.h is similar to Z.melanorrhachis.

Habitat Type ²

Grows in understory, primary lowland rain forests only
