Common around the Northern coast of the NI as well as the east coast of the South Island, in the intertidal and subtidal zones.
Is has 2 phases, the alpha phase as seen in the first 2 photos and the gamma phase seen in the third photo.
Can be either yellow or orange.
Found in indents and overhangs.
