Counting down to the end of the first-ever City Nature Challenge

In the past four days the Surrey iNaturalist community has blitzed their backyards and local parks as part of Surrey's first-ever City Nature Challenge event. As of noon today, the last day of the CNC, our stats are something to crow about:

1,939 OBSERVATIONS
501 SPECIES
122 IDENTIFIERS
71 OBSERVERS

And still counting!

we have added ~100+ species to our previous stats and thousands of new observations. Plus incalculable volunteer hours observing and curating all that data.

The CNC closes at midnight tonight, check back tomorrow for the final results, on May 4th we will share how our City fared globally.

So stay tuned and enjoy the last day of the blitz!
