I am a geologist and for my work I spend a lot of time in the field. What I love about my job is that I get to go off trail many times and this brings me to hidden places in the middle of the macchia, where I often come in contact with critters of all kinds. I like to use Inaturalist to learn more about the creatures I encounter!

I have discovered Inaturalist during a research stay in Japan. The creatures I have found in that fantastic country fascinated me so much that I just wanted to learn more and more and more. There, I was walking uphill in mountain streams, so it was normal to find all sorts of spiders, insects, amphibians, reptiles, and even mammals - but spiders remain my favorite taxon!

If you like rocks, here is my website:

You can tag me but I can help mostly with Argiope sp. (my favorite taxon), but remember that I am not an arachnologist, so you may want to tag @alexkerr @ajott @naufalurfi or @e16 instead (just to cite a few).
