Observo mariposas en Putla y alrededores, en Chicago y alrededores y en viajes a otros lugares. Me interesa fomentar la conservación de habitat de las mariposas.

Uso "A Swift Guide to Butterflies of Mexico and Central America" para identificar las mariposas observadas en Putla. En Chicago uso varias guias del Field Museum y Illinois Butterfly Monitoring Network. Y el sitio Naturalista me ayuda a rectificar o aclarar.

I'm a retired journalist living part of the year in Putla Villa de Guerrero, Oaxaca and in Chicago the rest of the year.

I observe butterflies in and around Putla and Chicago, and am interested in promoting the creation and preservation of butterfly habitat.

I use the "A Swift Guide to Butterflies of Mexico and Central America" to identify butterflies observed in Putla, and various field guides developed by the Field Museum and the Butterfly Monitoring Network to identify Northern Illinois butterflies. The iNaturalista website is an important tool for identifying as well.
