Confusion on new observation fields?

I bundled bunch of observation fields to Built Environment project to make it possible to add more detailed information to observation. It's not mandatory to add them. You can still add observation to project without adding them, but even then additional dialog pops up. In the dialog, if you want to add just to the project without observation field, do so, don't click "add" to all observation fields, just for the project at bottom.

Do you think the addition is confusing as some arbitrary values are now added to these fields? Should I leave them out altogether and keep adding observations to project as simple as possible as it was before?

Or should the values be explained better? In that case it would still possible (and preferred) to just not add them unless it's clear how to use them.

When should "failed" be used in the rewilding section?

@f_s I could still develop some concepts, but I thought it would be selection to use when individual organism dies or gets trapped or injured because of feature in built environment. That of course doesn't directly mean rewilding itself is failed, but could indicate ecological trap.

I like the Observation fields and I am trying to fill them in. However, when I choose Reservation or Park, I cannot put the name of our parks in Australia. Is it possible to be able to do that?

@kalimata For "Built Environment type" field? Placing actual park names to that list would grow it too big (however park types could possibly be divided). You should use iNaturalist location field to write exact park name to have it visible at observation page, however I'm unsure if it's possible to actually search with those self written names. Other option would be to create custom observation field for just for that purpose - values there would be like:

Park1Name|Park2Name|Park3Name|etc...

Or then use Tags which would be most simple?

@ kaupunkilinnut thank you for your explanation. From your reply I realise the list cannot include every park in the world. I could not work out on what basis you had chosen certain parks. But it does not matter. If it cannot be done, it cannot be done. No need for the custom observation field. The GPS info will show the park if anyone needs to know.

@kalimata You must be talking about iNaturalist built-in location feature? All places are not added there. Exact location information is most important, not as much what there's reading. This feature is not related to Built Environment projet or its' observation fields.
