You can become a citizen-scientist by telling us what you find at Chiricahua National Monument. Chiricahua lies within a sky island in southeast Arizona, and is comprised of uniquely diverse flora and fauna that are a result of the intersection of four different ecosystems (Rocky Mountains, Sierra Madre Mountains, Chihuahuan Desert, and Sonoran Desert).
We encourage you to document any species you observe in order to help us identify common, non-native, and rare species within the monument. Over time, this dataset will assist in natural resource management decisions; such as helping park staff detect invasive species, where early detection can be key to responding to non-native species.
The species list for Chiricahua NM was last indexed August 23, 2014 from NPSpecies and SEInet.
