On may 29th 2017 Waikari Enviroschool students planted 50 NZ native plants as part of a restoration project using the Honda Tree Fund with support from ECAN. Plants were Eco-sourced, selected for suitability and laid out by Jamie from Hurunui Natives.

Students will undertake long term monitoring of the site. They will monitor aquatic invertebrates to indicate water quality, plant survival, terrestrial invertebrates, birds and take photopoints to show progress.
