Meurky Walk's Journal

Ecologist and naturalist Colin Meurk, founder of the Meurky Walk that became the Christchurch 360 Trail, is walking the trail in its entirety over 8 days starting on Sunday 7 October. Everyone is welcome to join Colin as part of this year's 2018 The Breeze Walking Festival.

On 3 October, the Christchurch perimeter walkway, pioneered by ecologist Colin Meurk and long known as the Meurky Walk, was officially launched as the Christchurch 360 Trail. With the formal launch comes signage, maps, and an elegant booklet filled with the natural and human history you can find along the route.
