USJ Bioblitz Saturday April 27, 2024
We are looking forward to gathering more information about the HIU (Hartford International University for Religion & Peace woodland sanctuary) on day two of the USJ 2024 Bioblitz. A beautiful multi-color dove in flight (logo) identifies the HIU campus, formerly Hartford Seminary. HIU parking is located at 77 Sherwin Street, and the lot at 80-96 Sherman Street.
Please feel welcome to join a North Branch Park River walk (organized by the Sierra Club) at 10am on Saturday. We will meet at the 77 Sherwin Street parking lot.
Thank you very much to all the "Identifiers" who have helped identify images of nature along the North Branch as posted on iNaturalist. This Bioblitz is a beginning to the process of gathering data about the North Branch Park River, as we work towards conservation and revival of resilient ecosystems in our neighborhoods.
