Thanks for your ongoing help monitoring and documenting the plant communities of the Kaipatiki Stream area. Kaipatiki's many and varied wildlife habitats and surrounding forest remnants host an amazing variety of species, with a fascinating history. These habitats are a thrill to discover and a joy to be in, while threatened by the replacement of native species by invasive exotics, the loss of flora , fauna and soil condition by use of toxic chemicals, the erosion of stream banks due to increased stormwater runoff and reticulation from the continued increased density of housing with impermeable surfaces, and soil compaction and trampling of pathside vegetation by Reserve users.
