We have had these beetles in our condo for 4 years. We have found them in wheat flour, tea bags and boxes of pasta. They ate round holes through the cardboard box to get to the pasta. They will also eat through plastic bags. These photos are from beetles that were found in ground Hot Chili Pepper Spice.
