Shoe is just there for size comparison, I didn’t kill this guy! I think maybe he came out of hibernation and got hit by a bike? Wouldn’t expect to see him on the trail, that’s for sure. Perhaps this is one of the problems of climate change, where temperatures swing wildly and throw off animal calendars.
