Photos & observation by Anne Driscoll: Monarch roost on Balsam fir. Taken in Irving Nature Park. approx. 29 butterflies visible in photo 1, 30 in photo 2. Another 10+ seen but not photographed. Some were fluttering around, others were more spread out resting on branches nearby. Stayed and watched for 30 mins. Temperature was around 17-18C, and it was quite windy.
