On dead frond of Washingtonia washed up on beach.

Ascomata uniloculate perithecia with short neck (30 µm tall); spherical, erumpent, partially immersed, 100–300 µm diameter.
Asci 8-spored, bitunicate, 50 x 15 µm, IKI-; walls 4–6 µm thick. Pseudoparaphyses abundant, septate, 2 µm wide with clavate end 3 µm wide.
Ascospores hyaline, 16–20 x 5–6 µm, mostly 4-septate; centrally constricted, one half with two chambers and rounded end, other half larger with three chambers and acute end.

Found in Abies, Pinus and Calocedrus dominant forest, just west of Dry Lake, Shasta-Trinity National Forest

It had a firm texture with a pale wavy top. The flesh is very firm and close to white. the spores are orange yellow. It smelled pleasant and sweet. The taste is sort of peppery
