I heard the woodpecker, so I looked into my binoculars and couldn't believe my eyes! I immediately tried to snap a good shot, but the two above are the best I could get. I followed it around for 10 minutes trying to get a shot, but it was challenging with it's camouflage and constant movement. I was stoked to see this! It was pecking and flying around! Rare sighting for my area!

With HERG flock hanging out around the jetty immediately south of the parking lot. HERG-size near-adult gull with notably darker mantle, but not nearly dark enough for pure LBBG with significant contrast between mantle and primaries. Dullish yellow legs.
