These plants appeared intermediate between D. intermedia & D. rotundifolia, having the general aspect of D. intermedia (tight, leafy clumps of somewhat erect leaves; semi-aquatic, seasonally exposed lakeshore habitat) but having some leaves quite wide like D. rotundifolia and most leaves wider than typical D. intermedia. Only other species it would be from Mycoquebec, leaning more towards albidum due to how brittle the flesh was to handle, and flavour.
