Grazing trail of Red Triangle Slug. Made during a period when these sandstone rocks in the creek bed were wet and covered with slippery algae. Probably several months ago. This pattern is more commonly seen on the trunks of smooth-barked Eucalypt trees during wet season.

I kept coming across this small mat-forming plant as a seemingly uncommon growth on elevated moist sites but still don't know if it is a grazed true grass or something completely different such as a very prostrate legume. But grass seems likely.

A continuing bird first discovered by an observer on 13/07/2024 at this location. The bird was not vocal this morning as it was yesterday. It was very active around fruiting ivy and laurel bushes. It would frequently fly high above the creek canopy and perch for long periods on exposed dead branches in the sunlight.Precise GPS : -35.017, 138.656
