I'm sad to say that this bird seems to have died from window strike at Biobehavioral Health Building on campus, since it was lying right next to a fancy modern-looking building with lots and lots of huge glass windows.

Found dead on walking/biking track on dike near Susquehanna River. There were lesions on its snout but they might have been related to its death, which I imagine might have been caused by being hit by a bicycle? The embankment is steep, and rocky on one side although grassy on the far side of the path, so I am not sure how it got up to the path.

Frogs singing in or near the woods at the edge of James Clark Park. There is a trickle of water in a drainage ditch there. It is also at the bottom of a hill so it can get swampy after rainstorms. I heard similar sounds across Main Street around Coxton Yards near the Lackawanna river. I really love to hear the frogs in the springtime. I think their voice is very beautiful, and amphibians are facing so many challenges that I am glad every year to hear them still singing.
