In Wilhelma (Zoo): I only found them outside, first at some parrot enclosures (see image). The images are from specimen collected there, however, I also found some workers foraging west of it. One worker was also seen at "Terra Australis".
The queen on the third image was found dead and dismantled.

this actually looks pretty legit. probably the reason how it survived to wander around outdoors
the coordinates are the exact spot of the colony.
information about the raid:
-robbed species: Formica cf. rufibarbis
-duration of the raid: more than one hour
-distance from the nest to the robbed colony ca. 72m
-observed behaviour: on the way to the nest wider swarm, on the way back more column like, workers of the defending colony tried to put substrate parts in the entrance of the nest, they rescured larvae by carrying them on blades of grass, aggression between the species was very rare

in some places it is open and connected to the outside

Queen landed on my book, words for scale 😂 Must be 1-2mm in length.
Found with leaf cutter ants. Not sure if it is an ant or fly species or something else.
