On this day I saw a few individuals of this butterfly that I had never seen before.

Extensively photographed presumed male in repeated flight display over blooming Bauhinia. My notes indicate "ca. 2 km in from [south of] the bridge at Burnt Hill. display lasted 10:15 - 10:40 a.m." With Robert L. Sutton, three months before he was murdered at Marshalls Pen. Images being scanned and will be attached here later this year.
